Solution Delivery Management Associate  - Presales

 

About the Solution Delivery Management team

Our Solution Delivery Management (SDM) team performs the functions of a typical pre-sales team, but we extend our reach directly to the customer.  We join the Commercial and Solution Consultants on calls and are the voice of the Consulting team, ensure solutions can be delivered successfully by our project teams.
 

About the role

A SDM Associate is the secret ingredient in the sales recipe, blending technical expertise, project experience, and customer management skills to show customers how our Consulting team will be able to deliver a solution that solves their problems.  They're the bridge between the Commercial discussions and project kick-off - ensuring that what's promised can be delivered.

What you’ll be responsible for

Project Consultation: Provide expert advice and technical guidance to customers and the sales team to ensure what is discussed can be delivered.
Requirements Gathering: Support in discovery and qualification: Gather and analyze customer requirements to understand their needs and align solutions accordingly.
Pricing and Agreements: Work with the internal teams to provide non-standard quotes and include project specific scope details for project agreements.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and product developments to enhance technical expertise and support sales effectiveness.
Knowledge Transfer: Share learnings, best practice and guidance with other stakeholders in the business, especially during the hand-off to Consulting to execute the project.
Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate with product management, customer success and other stakeholders across the business to gather feedback, address customer requirements, and ensure a smooth handoff from pre-sales to post-sales.
RFx support: Work together with our bid management team and the sales team to customize the responses and coordinate with Consulting to provide the needed expertise.

 

What would experience would help you in this role

  • 8-10 years’ experience working in a similar role (e.g. presales, solution consulting, etc.)
  • Experience within a SaaS company (Life Sciences preferred).
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience working in SalesForce, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Business savvy and a natural understanding of the typical challenges of a Life Sciences customer and their main concerns / requirements.
  • A self-starter and creative problem-solver with the ability to work in a structured, independent and targeted way to achieve outstanding results.
  • Positive and energetic, with excellent listening ability and strong writing and speaking skills in English.
