Position Summary

The Business Analyst is responsible for the collection, documentation, and harmonization of as-is, target state, and transitional gaps in business operations. Analysts apply their knowledge of ArisGlobal products, established business analysis methods, and proprietary methods to analyze information systems user interfaces, work processes, decision processes, analytics, organizational changes, data models, workflows, and business cases. Analysts are also instrumental in harmonizing and disambiguating conflicting elements across multiple stakeholder groups.

Successful analysts are exceptional communicators who can quickly establish rapport with mixed user groups and lead them to communicate their needs and make decisions about the to-be or target state. Analysts learn and demonstrate application functionality to plan and facilitate user workshops and similar events. Most importantly, analysts produce or update clear and comprehensive documentation such as interview notes, procedural documents, and process training guides.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit customer requirements, tracking, documenting, and reporting on planning, training, and system requirements.
  • Liaise between client, partner, and ArisGlobal teams to ensure uniformity of requirements understanding.
  • Design and report on questionnaires, surveys, and operational performance metrics.
  • Produce documents compliant with ArisGlobal, client, and partner templates and system development lifecycle processes.
  • Create functional, process, and workflow models using process diagramming tools.
  • Manage requirements/specifications traceability and requirement/specification documentation.
  • Plan, schedule, attend, and document the outcomes of assigned meetings, review activities, demonstrations, and the like.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • This position is open to individuals with well-matched entry level education or 1-5 years of experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required, Jira & Confluence experience a plus not required
  • Experience using MS Project and popular business process modeling tools are desirable.
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis.

  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate to large audiences.

Your Experience

  • BS Degree in Information System Management or relevant fields. Advanced degree and specialized certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in business analysis with International Institute of Business Analysis – Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification, or the American Society of Quality (ASQ) Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) certification, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience supporting software implementation projects in a consulting environment.
  • Experience in life-sciences, regulatory affairs, GxP, and ICH fields preferred.
  • Demonstrable practical experience of working with IT systems implementation.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Computer Systems Validation is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to cross functional teams.
