Position Summary

We currently have an exciting opening for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our office in Zagreb, Croatia. This person will take the lead, managing HR Operations for our Zagreb office and will be the main point of contact for any Human Resources related questions, actions, processes and initiatives for our Zagreb office. They will work hand-in-hand with both the Recruitment Lead for Europe / US and the Employee Success Manager in Slovenia as well as supporting and being supported by an industry-leading international HR team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all our processes are compliant with local requirements, audit, identify gaps, build and execute plans to close all gaps with respect to compliance
  • You would be the main point of contact – Partnering with the Business for their HR needs
  • Partnering with Talent Acquisition:  Tracking, updating data ,monitoring and ensuring quality of hires into the Business Units are supported by the HRBP & HR Assistant
  • Designing, implementing & administering HR programs and initiatives for employees in areas such as on-boarding, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee engagement, training, career development planning and retention (hire to retire).
  • A hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees & execute action plans to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Coordinating with the L&D function for planning & implementing employee and managerial development
  • Proactive identification of issues / situations before they occur, including providing solutions to the business in consultation with peers/seniors in HR.
  • Creating metrics that help identify trends and recommend solutions.
  • Institute processes for identifying and charting the career development & progression for high performers within the organization;
  • Execute talent management process, institute systems and processes for developing and retaining talent within the identified framework.
  • Support in execution of competency development within the team (product, domain, technology) in partnership with business and L&D to optimize resource utilization.
  • Establish appropriate processes and systems for HR function; constantly monitor and measure the effectiveness of the processes; identify ways and means for its improvement
  • Proactively drive employee engagement measure in ensuring transparency & fairness in compensation fitment, role alignment of resources vis-à-vis peer group across global offices.
  • Work closely with HR Shared Services team in obtaining updates on immigration, employee individual records, salary fitment and incentives.
  • Analyze attrition reports and recommend retention strategies
  • Match industry best practices to organization and initiate steps for improvement
  • Drive fun and employee engagement and culture initiatives

Your Experience

  • 6+ years experience in a hands-on role with a flair for strategy implementation as well as core operational HR
  • Strong knowledge of Croatian HR processes, employment law, & and implementation techniques
  • Proficient in the Croatian Language
  • Being a Partner with the business is fundamental here, operating within a process and system that encourages the growth of the function & business.
  • Understand the business and act in support of the company strategy and operating goals.
  • Success requires a collaborative and take hands on approach; you will deliver scalable, customer-focused HR programs and services to the business and region
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, strategic thinking, ability to influence others, problem resolving skills is a must.
  • Good MS office skills and prior experience with ERP / Company wide HR system will be beneficial
